We went down to Loughor this Friday just gone to view 5 potential houses for rent. Viv and Gordon allowed us to stay at Island House (we set up tent in the garden as all the rooms were fully booked up but it was still a lovely opportunity to see Viv & Gordon again!). We planned to view 2 of the houses that Friday and the other 3 on the Saturday. On the drive down we discovered that one of the houses which we were due to view on the Friday was way too far for my work in Swansea so we decided to call the agent from Ingke's phone and cancel that viewing. Then, even before we arrived in Loughor, one of the other houses that we were to view on the Saturday had already been taken and so that viewing was cancelled by the agent. We viewed the second house in the afternoon and we both fell in love with it.
When Saturday came, we looked at the first house in pontarddulais but both felt it wasn't right for us. During the viewing, the person that showed us around told us that the second house to see that day had been already taken and did we get her message? We said we didn't get any message about that but we just accepted it as God's will. Talk about closing doors! We went and had some lunch (KFC yum!) and just as we had finished, Ingke's phone rang. The house that we had just seen literally 1 hour before in pontarddulais had been taken off the market as the landlord had already found a tenant!
To conclude: we came down in order to view 5 as had already been arranged with the estate agents. Out of our control, 3 had been taken off the market and 1 was too far away. That left 1!...
According to the owners (who wanted us to take this house more than we wanted it lol), and unbeknown to us, the house's past is somehow linked to prayer and missionary work. Another thing that I noticed was that the front door had lovely coloured glass panes. There are pictures of birds on the glass, reminding me of when Jesus was talking about the Father's provision, and how the sparrows get fed! (Matthew 6:26) We also finally discovered that this house is literally around the corner from Moriah, about a 2 minute walk up the lane!
When I told Bethan on Sunday that we were moving to Loghour and would be attending Moriah her eyes lit up, she seems so excited to be having some 'young blood' in the church!
We are now starting to get really excited!!!... just way too many coincidences are occurring for this not to be something special. I am completely blown away at His grace! Watch this space...
